Israel’s handling of coronavirus is considered a tremendous success. By choosing to move quickly and implement drastic measures to combat the virus, Israel has succeeded in “flatting the curve” of the virus in very short time.
We are happy to report that Israel’s active coronavirus cases continue to drop. Up to this moment, Israel has confirmed 16,683 Covid-19 cases, out of which 2,680 cases are still active after 13,724 people have recovered. The death toll stands at 279, while only 36 patients are on ventilators. (as of May 26, 2020)
In Israel, almost twice as many people have recovered from Covid-19 than the number of people who currently have it. Israel has gone more than two weeks without seeing over 100 new confirmed cases in a single day, and the figure has dropped to below fifty in recent days. With this encouraging news in mind, Israel is returning to normality!
With the infection rate under control, Israel continues to take several steps towards normality by reopening marketplaces, gyms and shopping centers.
The Streets of Jerusalem are vibrant again, the beaches of Tel Aviv are brimming with swimmers. The bustling Shuk market is again full of people, noise and smells.
We are thrilled about this progress and are looking forward to our New Year in Jerusalem Holy Land trip and additional trips in the near future! We look forward to visiting with you during the information session Friday, June 19 at 5:00 pm CST. Find us on Facebook live Facebook.com/groups/FaithConnectionsTravel.
